Rams roll Monta Vista 10-3

    Matt Toscano had two hits, stole two bases and scored three runs to lead Willow Glen to a 10-3 win over Monta Vista on Friday in the Lions’ Club Easter baseball tournament.

    Willow Glen went 2-2 in the round robin tournament and are now 15-6 on the season.

     Alex Alvarado, left, was strong again in relief, not allowing a run in three innings to pick up the victory.   

    Toscano has now been successful on 27 of 28 stolen base attempts this season.

    Nathan Maggi and Wes Malik also had RBIs for Willow Glen in the win over Monta Vista.

    Willow Glen took advantage of seven Monta Vista errors and nine  walks.

    The Rams, 7-1 in league, return to Mount Hamilton League play next Wednesday at home against Pioneer.

Alex Alvarado picked up the win for Willow Glen in a 10-3 victory over Monta Vista Friday in the Lions Club Easter Baseball tournament.
