Rams run win streak to nine

  John Riley, left, pitched four no-hit, shutout innings of relief and Mitch Ravizza led off the game with his third home run of the season to power Willow Glen to a 7-3 victory over Mount Pleasant Saturday in the championship game of the annual ‘Baseball Battling Cancer’ tournament at Leland.

  Riley was selected the tournament MVP for the second straight year, going 7-for-11 with a homer and two doubles while picking up two wins.

  Ravizza was also selected to the all-tournament team, going 5-for-12 with two homers.

  The Rams reached a season goal by winning their 20th game of the season, the fourth in a row Willow Glen has won at least 20 games.

The Rams are now 20-5. Wilow Glen, which has clinched the MHL title, play  Santa Teresa at home on Wednesday.
